It is a protein-rich Yoruba food that is commonly eaten across West Africa. <\/p>\n<p>140 g of peeled black eyed beans<br \/>\n100g of shrimps<br \/>\n35g of chicken gizzard<br \/>\n2 hard boiled eggs<br \/>\n40g of broth (optional)<br \/>\n2 tablespoons of palm oil<br \/>\nDifferent spices<br \/>\nSalt to taste<\/p>\n<p>How to prepare:<\/p>\n<p>Blend the peeled beans and add the broth to make the blending smoother. (You can substitute the broth with water)<br \/>\nAdd some broth or water to the finely blended beans and stir.<br \/>\nAdd salt to taste.<br \/>\nAdd 2 tablespoons of palm oil and the shrimps.<br \/>\nStir, add your spices of choice.<br \/>\nOptionally add spicy pepper for the tropical taste.<br \/>\nAdd the chicken gizzard. (Feel free to use other small fillers like crayfish, meat, fish etc.)<br \/>\nEvenly divide the blended beans into heat proof containers.<br \/>\nAdd the sliced, boiled eggs.<br \/>\nPlace the heat proof containers in a cooking pan and add some water.<br \/>\n(Make sure the water covers just about a 3rd of the pan)<br \/>\nSteam up on medium high heat for about 10 minutes.<br \/>\nVoila.
