Combined with spicy beef sauce, it becomes Beef-Dodo. As you can guess, there are many variations of this recipe. There is Chicken-Dodo, Pork-Dodo. The most popular one of course being GizDodo.  GizDodo is the variation made with gizzards. Check out the recipe here: https:\/\/youtu.be\/s-p_F9sFaDQ<\/p>\n<p>Beef-dodo can be served as a side dish which can be paired with rice or with potatoes, baguette, even with Ugali, Fufu, Banku, Sadza etc.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<br \/>\n1 kg beef (diced)<br \/>\n3 ripe plantains<br \/>\n1 tomato puree<br \/>\n3 medium sized Carrots<br \/>\n1 green bell pepper<br \/>\n1 yellow bell pepper<br \/>\n2 small onions<br \/>\n200 gram green peas<br \/>\nSalt to taste<br \/>\nSeasoning of choice<br \/>\n1 cup of vegetable oil<\/p>\n<p>Method:<br \/>\nWash the beef, marinate with the onions, salt and various seasoning of choice.<br \/>\nCook till tender and set aside.<br \/>\nFry the chopped plantains in the vegetable oil till golden brown and set aside.<br \/>\nUse the same oil and fry the beef ever so gently.<br \/>\nAdd the tomato puree and let it simmer for 5 minutes in medium heat.<br \/>\nAdd the chopped carrots, green and yellow bell peppers. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.<br \/>\nAdd some seasoning of choice.<br \/>\nAdd the green peas and simmer for 2 minutes.<br \/>\nAdd the fried plantain.
